Returning to Korea after 12 years of living abroad, I was astonished by deeply rooted patriarchy in Korean culture. Reimagining alternate form of care and support through children’s books’ storytelling approach, the project attempts to shape the next generation’s perspectives and perceptions of reality.
The five stories are each about gender neutral toys, jobs, care work and domestic labor, emotional expression, and body/beauty standards.
